Welcome to Where the sidewalk ends childcare
Welcome!
My name is Leanna, and I’m an Early Childhood Development Specialist. I’m also a wife and a mom of five children, ranging from young adult to early childhood. Being both a parent and a professional has given me a deep appreciation for how important the early years are, and how different every child’s path can be.
I hold a degree focused in Child Development and Early Childhood Education and am a licensed early childhood professional. I’m passionate about early development and believe that children learn best when they feel understood, supported, and encouraged to grow at their own pace. My approach goes beyond supervision — I focus on building strong relationships and responding to each child’s individual needs.
At Where the Sidewalk Ends, children are given opportunities to explore, play, and learn through everyday experiences. I pay close attention to how children interact, communicate, and develop, and I adjust my support and expectations to meet them where they are. My goal is to help children build confidence, independence, and the foundational skills they need as they grow.
I truly enjoy working with young children and partnering with families. Creating a space where children feel valued and supported is at the heart of what I do, and I look forward to welcoming your family and being part of your child’s early journey.
